Nestled in a picturesque part of the leafy Latin Quarter, just over the road from the Seine and right opposite Notre Dame, this quaint haven has all the charm of an authentic ‘old-Paree’ hotel, and at a modest price. Perched over a bustling brasserie, the hotel greets you with the comforting sounds and smells of a thousand French meals. Push open the heavy front door and take your suitcase up the rustic staircase to one of the ten delightful rooms, each with exposed beams, original paintings and antique furniture. Two (47 and 501) have views over Notre Dame. There’s no reception area, the owner buzzes around the popular restaurant, and the place feels more like someone’s cosy home than a hotel.

Gorgeous hotel ..
I've been to Paris quite a few times and stayed in various hotels but Les Degres de Notre Dame always calls me back ... it's in a fabulous location and I love the fact that all the rooms are different and just feel so characterful. As you're given a key and come and go, it doesn't have the stuffiness of some hotel, it feels like you've got the keys to the spare room with the best host on offer. A joy and a fantasic price - I can't recommend this hotel highly enough ...

I stayed here 4 years ago and was not impressed.
Perhaps I just got the worst room in the place, but it was
dark, not particularly clean and the bed was very uncomfortable-
in all, a very depressing experience. C'est la vie...
